Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician II - Traveler will assist senior technicians in maintaining and operating utility-scale solar facilities, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

This role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets, including solar panels, trackers, and power inverters, as well as troubleshooting low-voltage DC and medium-voltage AC power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes direction from senior site personnel and sets a positive example for junior technicians.
  • Troubleshoots low-voltage DC and medium-voltage AC power systems, conducts preventative maintenance, and utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables, follows site safety plans, and adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
  • Interfaces with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and represents RES in a professional manner.
  • Operates RES company vehicles in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected, and complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school/GED General Education required; Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.
  • Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred; Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.
  • 3+ years or more Related maintenance experience required.

Rarely exposed to Wet, Noise, and Vibration in the working environment. Occasionally exposed to Extreme Cold, Extreme Heat, and Humidity in the working environment. Frequently exposed to Hazards in the working environment.
