Job Summary

The Imaging Patient Transporter is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients within the hospital. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from various departments, including imaging, surgery, and laboratory
  • Assist imaging personnel with patient care tasks, such as preparing patients for exams and transporting equipment
  • Participate in code blue situations, providing chest compressions as needed
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources
  • Perform basic computer tasks, such as retrieving clinical reports and assisting with patient location
  • Assist with housekeeping duties and responsibilities as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic life support certification
