Aquatic Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Aquatic Department Manager to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Boston. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, and evaluating programs within your area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Member Service: Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations.
- Team Management: Recruit, schedule, and supervise lifeguard and instructor personnel in consultation with the Aquatic Director.
- Budgeting: Work with the Aquatic Director to develop, oversee, and monitor the Aquatics budget.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time position that requires physical and verbal ability to interact with members and staff. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and some weekend and evening work is expected. Travel may be necessary for trainings or meetings.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; at least 21 years of age; YMCA Lifeguarding certification (with Red Cross certification crossing over within six months). At least two years of experience in instruction and management of aquatic programs and pool maintenance; supervisory experience and good member relation and staff relation skills.
