Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ARC Document Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing assigned and requested materials promptly, selecting sources based on analysis, and arranging vendor contracts to ensure the best costs and quality of purchased materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Sourcing: Acts as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the needs of management, staff, or customers.
  • Purchase Order Management: Monitors frequency of purchases and recommends possible options to increase effectiveness of purchasing power.
  • Inventory Management: Ensures that materials, equipment, and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner in accordance with Company policy.
  • Vendor Management: Chooses vendors, places orders, maintains records, and handles returned goods.
  • Document Preparation: Prepares purchase requisitions, transportation, and delivery documents as well as related letters and memos.
  • Inventory Control: Handles inventory control and places orders as needed.
  • Accounts Payable: Codes and approves accounts payable for the service, supply, and hardware departments.
  • Price Management: Maintains and updates computerized pricing of inventory.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills to maintain the most cost-effective pricing and contract terms for goods and services.
  • Organizational Skills: This position requires the ability to organize and prioritize workflows as well as meet deadlines.
  • Inventory Disposition: Determines what inventory items have become obsolete and coordinates the disposition of the inventory.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: One-year related experience and/or training.
  • Skills: Ability to be flexible in dealing with changing priorities.
