Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee all operational duties, including management of employees, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order, and oversee repairs and replacements of defective or worn components.
  • Employee Management: Manage employee work schedules, train employees as required, and ensure all work is performed per time standards and efficiency goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality standards are met on all work performed, and maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage the operation to meet or exceed Rescar financial goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in railcar repair, switching, or related field work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management Experience: 1 year of management experience in manufacturing (preferred).
Work Environment and Conditions

The successful candidate must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

  • Working around heavy moving equipment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Work in high places and confined areas
  • Climb, squat, bend, twist, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds or more to accomplish work tasks
  • Use of respirator as required
  • Minimal travel at Rescar request
