Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Food Safety Technician II to join our team at Post Consumer Brands. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet our food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical resources and support to Operations Team Members, management, and Maintenance in areas of product quality and food safety.
  • Attend noncompliance meetings to provide direction on immediate actions, root cause investigation, product disposition, and corrective actions.
  • Perform audits and analyses on finished and intermediate products, ingredients, packaging, and systems to ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, GMP's, and GLP's.
  • Conduct investigations into consumer and customer complaints, and perform, record, and report audit findings in areas of Pest Prevention, Sanitation, GMP's, Pre-Op Inspection/Testing, Plant Environment, HACCP, SSOP's, Net Weight, PSAs, Metal Detection Audit, Documentation Audit, Allergen Testing, and Ingredient COA Verification.
  • Calibrate and maintain Quality measurement equipment in production and in the QA Lab.
  • Provide information and data to support the QA group in assigned project areas, and utilize the Quality Department resources to help in the identification and resolution of issues.
Requirements
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, microbiology, math, statistics, or food science.
  • 3 years of food production and lab experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMP's, food safety, GLP's, statistics, and lab techniques.
  • PCQI certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, math/statistical computation skills, and ability to work safely with chemicals and near equipment.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and present collected data in summary form, and perform a variety of tests.
  • Ability to communicate technical, scientific, and regulatory information, both written and verbally, and make presentations, facilitate meetings, probe for root cause, and provide training to various groups within the organization.
