Job Description

Title: Tenable Security Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: Ongoing

Description:

A senior-level role that will serve as the single point of contact for the entire Tenable platform/service. The project involves a migration to Tenable One. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VM, Compliance tools, and/or CTEM, with 5-10 years of experience and the ability to work independently and in a team. Financial services experience is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage Tenable backend services, including Tenable.IO and Tenable.SC.
  • Migrate and implement Tenable One, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Work with the organization's IT towers to deploy agents and maximize scanning efficiency and coverage.
  • Patch Tenable software, excluding server OS patching.
  • Install and upgrade Tenable as required, managing a SaaS environment with the vendor.
  • Manage change control for Tenable and monitor the platform for outages.
  • Respond to high-severity escalations and raise tickets on Remedy/Helix associated with Tenable.
  • Test Tenable after environmental patching or changes.
  • Lead the recovery of vulnerability scanning service within 72 hours during US business hours.
  • Run and arrange compliance scans on Tenable.
  • Advise and guide the organization's IT towers on Tenable usage.
  • Encourage best practice use of Tenable within the organization.
  • Help create necessary dashboards on Tenable.
  • Set up reporting in Tenable.
  • Produce Tenable reports for senior management.
  • Document operations performed associated with Tenable and keep documentation up to date.
  • Integrate into the client's security team and report into the organization's security.
  • Troubleshoot Tenable issues and work with the vendor to escalate and resolve them.
