Position Title: Physical Fitness Instructor

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Principal

Position Objective: To provide comprehensive physical health and education instruction to students in grades 5 through 8. The role involves inspiring and guiding students to maintain fitness, set personal goals, and foster a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging physical education classes across various grade levels.
  • Implement classroom routines and procedures to cultivate a conducive learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies regarding attendance, punctuality, record-keeping, and family communication.
  • Engage in school events and pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Supervise students during lunch, gym, and hallway activities during assigned duty periods.
  • Promote healthy eating habits in alignment with school nutrition guidelines.
  • Teach and exemplify conflict resolution techniques.
  • Oversee the maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated athletic ability to effectively showcase activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
