Our team comprises more than 140 board-certified and fellowship-trained specialists, proficient in every orthopedic discipline.
Role Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising physical therapist, ensuring patients progress towards their functional goals.
- Deliver outstanding care to patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress in compliance with organizational guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervising physical therapists regarding patient assessments and treatment plans.
- Oversee rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of all treatment documentation, including daily notes and progress reports.
- Stay informed about billing policies and adhere to ethical billing practices.
- Maintain an active state license by completing required continuing education units.
- Foster positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams.
- Engage in organizational programs such as mentoring and community outreach.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Current licensure to practice in Illinois.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Current CPR certification.
- Capability to lift over 25 pounds.
- Understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting and moving patients.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using a computer for documentation and communication.
