Mental Health Specialist

At Rockwell Development Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Professional Facilitator to lead and manage group discussions, meetings, and workshops for our K-12 student participants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that supports the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement group discussion agendas to promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Facilitate group discussions and meetings to ensure active participation and engagement from all participants.
- Collaborate with medical and non-medical providers to develop and implement Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Conduct functional needs assessments to determine the scope and anticipated outcomes of services.
- Manage conflicts and ensure that all participants feel heard and valued.
- Prepare and distribute materials necessary for meetings, including handouts, presentations, and training materials.
- Follow up with students to ensure understanding of next steps and action items.
- Participate in meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of facilitation and make recommendations for future improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Service field with 2 years of post-Bachelor's experience working with Mental Health populations.
- Proven experience in facilitation, with a strong track record of success in leading group discussions and workshops for targeted K-12 student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required.
- Knowledge of human services and NH/DD/SAS network.
- Knowledge of State Services and Definitions as outlined in MH/DD/SAS.
- Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures, including record keeping and filing systems.
- Knowledge of clinical diagnosis and treatments.
