Aircraft Cargo Handler Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Cargo Handler to join our team at Aeko Kula, LLC. As a key member of our cargo operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of air freight shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route inbound and outbound air freight shipments to their destinations.
  • Receive counter orders from customers and arrange for pickup of freight and delivery to loading platform.
  • Assemble cargo according to destination.
  • Weigh items and determine cost, using established tariffs.
  • Direct or participate in cargo loading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
  • Itemize charges, prepare freight bills, accept payments, and issue refunds.
  • Prepare manifest to accompany shipments.
  • Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Unload inbound freight and notify consignees on arrival of shipments and arrange for delivery to consignees.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Load Coordinator - Coordinate and supervise personnel in loading of our company aircraft during operations. When assigned as a crewmember, report and be directly responsible to the Crew Chief.
  • International Document Specialist - Trained in handling all required documentation for International Customers/Carriers.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Ability to withstand outdoor/adverse working conditions.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull, or carry objects of 75lbs maximum weight.
  • Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check, and security threat assessment.
Compensation:

This position starts at $22.22 per hour.
