Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at CaroMont Health. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in preparing patients and equipment for exams and procedures, maintaining exam rooms and clinical areas, and providing exceptional patient care.

This includes tasks such as patient intake, documentation, vaccine and medication administration, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.

As a Medical Assistant II, you will also provide front office support duties, including greeting and welcoming patients, providing excellent customer service, collecting co-payments, scheduling appointments, and updating missing patient demographics.

Successful completion of approved Medical Group competency assessment within 8 weeks of hire is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Provide exceptional patient care
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens/lab requisitions accurately
  • Schedule and obtain authorizations for referrals and/or procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Support and function under the direction of the care team with various office and clinical duties
  • Provide front office support duties, including greeting and welcoming patients, providing excellent customer service, collecting co-payments, scheduling appointments, and updating missing patient demographics


Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Has one-year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant and current certificate/registration, or has less than one-year experience with an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting with current certification/registration. BLS required. Must have and maintain current credentialing with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-CMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT-RMA), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT-NCMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA-CCMA), National Healthcare Workers Association (NHCWA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) or National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA).
