We are seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Officer to join our team at the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management. As a Surveillance Officer, you will play a critical role in the supervision, surveillance, and investigation of an assigned caseload of adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and verify information on alleged violations
  • Assist in monitoring supervisees and preparing reports
  • Maintain required documentation and logs
  • Collect pertinent information from various sources
  • Document discussions with inmates or probationers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of surveillance and investigative techniques
  • Basic knowledge of computers and computer software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with case management computer applications
  • Demonstrated experience making referrals to community resources
  • Working knowledge of electronic, voice monitoring systems &/or anytrax
