Job Title: Turbocharger Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Turbocharger Technician to join our team at iSoftTek Solutions Inc. As a Turbocharger Technician, you will be responsible for the execution of repair/maintenance works on site/on board by performing designated duties personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Workshop Technician responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Preparation of field service personal hand tools, consumables, and materials and manuals.
• Preparation of personal hand tools.
• Field/shop service execution under supervision.
• Work with portable/shop equipment on site, including valve seat grinder/cutter; honing equipment.
• Reporting to Supervisor and work according to manufacturer specifications and MSHS ISO standards.
• Assist during troubleshooting on Diesel Engines and Systems under guidance of assigned Supervisor, basic knowledge of auxiliary systems and components, including B&K filter, Separators, Compressors.

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of turbocharger systems and components.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in performing maintenance and repairs.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers and team members.
• Availability to work occasionally during weekends.
• Ability to write detailed technical reports.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or 2-year degree in a technical vocational discipline and/or equivalent combined experience and education.
• 4-6 years related experience, prefer marine/offshore industry experience.
• Occupational studies degree from Industrial/Technical college.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to stand for long periods and be comfortable with kneeling, stooping, and working in cramped and uncomfortable positions is required.
• Should be prepared to twist and turn the body often and must be open to working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Fit for Duty:

• All field and shop employees will require a pre-employment ENG1 Medical Examination (or equivalent). Field service employees will be required to pass the ENG1 Medical Evaluation (or equivalent).
