Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation: Prepare work sites to locate utilities and eliminate potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for our crew.
  • Equipment Operation: Signal operators to facilitate movement or alignment of equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools, maintaining a well-organized and efficient work site.
  • Pipe Installation: Configure pipe routes and assemble gas piping and equipment, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Coverage: Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material, protecting our infrastructure from damage.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by our management team, supporting the success of our construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License required.
  • CDL: Class A CDL preferred.
  • Travel: Ability to travel throughout Wisconsin, as required by our projects.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods, and lift, push, and pull 50 pounds regularly.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
  • Experience: Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
  • Education: Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.

Working Environment:

This position works outdoors in various weather conditions, excluding extreme temperatures, heavy rain, or strong winds.
