Job Summary

RWE Clean Energy, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Wind Farm Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activities on wind turbines and related facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages.
  • Participate in safety and other wind farm-related tasks as assigned, and provide backup support to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary.
  • Assist with turbine maintenance, including services, major component work, and replacement, as well as troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Support Balance of Plant procedures, including substation and collection system maintenance, as needed.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in Sciences or a related field from an accredited school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution is required.
  • Unrestricted driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Ability to maintain a personal weight limitation of 270 lbs and climb wind towers on a daily basis is required.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme environments, including hot sun, cold, etc., and walk, climb, and stand extensively during the workday is required.
