Job Summary

Maxsim Traffic Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Flagger to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our workers and the public by effectively managing traffic flow at construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct traffic flow through construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals.
  • Warn construction workers of approaching vehicles and prevent accidents.
  • Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
  • Record license plate numbers of traffic control violators for police.
  • Assist in the removal of rubble, debris, and hazardous materials.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of related experience/training.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Valid Driver's License (Must provide to obtain/provide driving record from DMV).
  • Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional observation skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Flagger Certification preferred but not required.
  • Willing to work overtime and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Dependable and able to commit to long hours of work when necessary.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; possibly high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
