Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Timothy G Hastings DDS. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Dental Hygiene Services: Perform routine cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain patients' oral health.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments and Screenings: Evaluate patients' oral health and identify potential issues to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Education and Patient Communication: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions to promote healthy habits.
  • Assist with Dental Procedures: Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings and extractions, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Utilize electronic dental software to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Follow Infection Control Protocols: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid State Dental Hygiene License: Possess a valid state dental hygiene license to practice in the state of Illinois.
  • Graduation from an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program: Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program with a strong foundation in dental anatomy, oral pathology, and periodontal disease.
  • Proficiency in Dental Software: Proficient in using dental software for patient management and medical coding.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Dental Assistant: Possess a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM Technology: Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions and restorations.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring 15-16 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.00 per hour and a supportive work environment that values teamwork and patient care.
