POSITION SUMMARY

As an Automotive Service Specialist at JobsQuest, you will engage in the skilled repair and maintenance of vehicles and light trucks, as well as specialized gasoline and diesel-powered machinery. Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical issues and executing repairs with precision and care. You will be expected to work independently while adhering to established guidelines and practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts minor body repairs on vehicles as necessary.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, including braking systems and lifts.
  • Inspects vehicles and equipment before and after service, utilizing reference materials for guidance.
  • Fabricates components for vehicles and machinery as required.
  • Executes preventive maintenance and tune-ups on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment according to established schedules.
  • Maintains and repairs emergency response vehicles and equipment.
  • Undertakes repairs on various types of vehicles and heavy machinery as needed.
  • Ensures upkeep of the workshop, grounds, and tools.
  • Services small engines, including those found in lawn care equipment and generators.
  • Handles tire repairs and replacements using appropriate tools.
  • Travels to job sites to retrieve equipment or perform repairs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Completion of relevant coursework or certification, or equivalent work experience in automotive repair.
  • Proficient in diagnosing issues with gasoline and diesel engines using both manual and electronic tools.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting brake systems and suspension components.
