We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine Dental Health Center.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and review patient medical history, identifying contraindications and requesting medical clearance as necessary.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, charting dental findings.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operatory, inspecting instruments for sterility and practicing universal precautions.
- Provide clinical services, including exposing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, and administering therapeutic agents.
- Deliver patient education, reviewing home care and oral hygiene instructions, and reviewing treatment plans with patients.
- Associate's or Vocational Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current Hygienist License required.
- 3-5 years of experience in dental hygiene.
