About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Clinical Affairs. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and review patient medical history, identifying contraindications and requesting medical clearance as necessary.
  • Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, charting dental findings.
  • Practice infection control by maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to universal precautions.
  • Provide clinical services, including dental cleanings, scaling and root planning, and administering therapeutic agents.
  • Offer patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans.
  • Assist with front desk duties, including confirmation calls and appointment scheduling.
Requirements

Vocational or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of work experience in a dental setting.
