ABSC is on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to collaborate with a dynamic team focused on the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge technology solutions. This role is pivotal in supporting a long-term contract aimed at enhancing the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) and advancing the mission of centralizing and standardizing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain a robust production big data pipeline utilizing a microservices architecture with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  • Enhance and sustain CI/CD processes and DevOps scripts to promote rapid development cycles, swift error detection, and resilient deployments.
  • Design and support scalable infrastructure, ensuring redundancy across both physical and virtual environments.
  • Utilize Helm for configuring Kubernetes deployments to accommodate new feature requirements.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to devise solutions for emerging features and requirements.
  • Contribute technical insights to systems engineering documentation and models in partnership with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Engage in Agile methodologies, including release planning, scrum meetings, bug triage, and design sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years in software development or systems engineering. Candidates with a master's degree should have at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
  • Proficient in Linux environments.
  • Experience with container technologies and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Development skills in languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Java.
  • Proven ability to engage in cross-functional planning and task execution.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience managing systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with Agile processes and methodologies.
  • Background in production or enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes monitoring tools, and Elasticsearch.
