Position Overview

Key Information About the RN Hospice House/Inpatient Care Role:

  • We are seeking a Part-Time RN for our inpatient unit.
  • This role is situated within our specialized unit at Licking Memorial Hospital.
  • Our mission is to provide exceptional care and services to patients during their final stages of life. A genuine compassion for hospice care is essential for success in this position.

Core Responsibilities of the RN Hospice House/Inpatient Care:

The RN will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will also engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications for the RN Hospice House/Inpatient Care:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Possession of an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio, free from any board actions.
  • A minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) is preferred and must be obtained within two years of employment (eligibility upon completion of 500 hours in the last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation of services and care.
  • Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
  • A valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
  • Compliance with state minimum automobile insurance requirements.
