Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean assigned guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in accordance with quality and timeliness standards; pick up trash; change linens; make beds; clean bathrooms thoroughly; vacuum and dust guest rooms, clean windows and balconies, if applicable.
  • Guest Service: Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner; professionally resolve issues; promptly report lost or missing guest possessions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain required inventory on housekeeping carts; order or obtain additional supplies as needed; store carts in accordance with established procedures.
  • Laundry Support: Assist in the Laundry Department as requested.
  • Special Projects: Participate in deep cleaning projects and daily special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Safety and Security: Sound working familiarity with safety and security procedures and guidelines; ability to safely operate commercial housekeeping equipment.
  • Communication: Ability to read and understand written instructions to carry through housekeeping tasks; good command of the English language; second language proficiency desirable.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to maintain customer focus and provide exceptional service.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and follow corporate and brand standards and procedures.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a hotel environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard housekeeping equipment.
  • Exposure and frequent use to commercial and household chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • This position works indoors.
