Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Management
    • Resolve outstanding payer balances for assigned financial classes by monitoring Accounts Receivable reports.
    • Follow-up on outstanding claims and submit appropriate documents for payment when necessary.
  • Denial Analysis/Management
    • Identify, analyze, and research frequent root causes of denials and develop corrective action plans for resolution of denials working directly with payers and/or clinics.
    • Follow through on claim denials and rejections on a timely basis.
  • Claim Scrubbing/Submission
    • Assist with third-party billing process through the scrubbing, preparation, and submission of accurate and complete claims in a timely manner.
  • ERA Processing/Cash Posting
    • Prepare and post daily cash receipts.
    • Complete daily transaction logs.
    • Scan, verify, and post remittances.
    • Identify unposted cash.
    • Print posting reports for balancing.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Possess the ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
    • Good judgment skills.
    • Capable of making decisions with attention to detail.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of patients' medical records and adherence to all HIPAA policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates or Certification(s) plus.
  • Minimum 2 years Revenue Cycle experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Patient Accounting systems experience.
