As a Litigation Attorney at Eagle Title, you will be instrumental in delivering top-notch legal advice across a variety of issues while also assisting in legal research, document preparation, and case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and present legal documents, safeguarding our clients' best interests.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Engage closely with clients to comprehend their business requirements and customize legal strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations pertaining to ongoing litigation.
  • Analyze and summarize legal information to aid in formulating robust case strategies.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Organize exhibits, affidavits, and other supporting materials for court submissions.
  • Manage case files and ensure adherence to all deadlines.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
  • Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural standards.
  • Monitor court dockets and deadlines to keep the team informed and ready.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed by senior attorneys.
  • Assist in drafting correspondence and communications related to litigation.
  • Provide general support to attorneys during trial preparation and court appearances.
  • Help prepare deposition summaries and trial exhibits.
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify and resolve issues; proactively propose suitable solutions and recommendations to enhance final work product.
  • Draft engagement letters and assist with client billing and expense recovery.
  • Complete special projects and other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Maryland State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of litigation experience, including trial exposure.
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of NLRB rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • The ideal candidate will be driven, self-motivated, and capable of leading a team.
