Environmental Services Technician

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for the thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, and various other designated spaces within the facility. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness standards set forth by the Environmental Services department and aligning with the overall objectives of the organization. The technician will utilize a range of cleaning tools, machines, and supplies to effectively carry out their responsibilities. Key tasks include waste disposal, spill management, vacuuming, and the preparation of meeting spaces, while ensuring that shared areas meet established cleanliness standards. Additional duties may be assigned by management in accordance with hospital policies and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to document information such as room numbers and names accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds promptly to emergency spills, ensuring they are addressed within five minutes of notification.
  • Maintains cleanliness and functionality of assigned equipment, reporting any necessary repairs.
  • Identifies and communicates the need for repairs to furniture, buildings, and fixtures to the supervisor.
  • Utilizes cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment according to provided instructions.
  • Regularly inspects all areas to ensure they are free from spills, stains, and debris.
  • Checks and replenishes supplies daily as needed.
  • Performs any other tasks as directed by the management team.

Full-Time; Evenings
2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Compensation:
Hourly/Non-Exempt
$12.00+/hour, based on experience
$2.00 Evening Shift Differential
