Job Summary

The CRNFA will work under the supervision of surgeons, assisting in operations and providing exceptional patient care. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons during operations, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring patient safety.
  • Coordinate patient positioning, using body stabilizing equipment to provide optimal exposure for procedures.
  • Prepare and apply sterile wound dressings, sutures, and other materials to close skin and tissue layers.
  • Discuss surgical procedures with surgeons, including operative consent, diagnostic data, and patient directives.
  • Monitor patient status, including vital signs, blood volume, and skin integrity.
  • Assist with patient resuscitation during cardiac arrest or other life-threatening events.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an ambulatory or surgical setting.
  • Ability to function in a high-stress, physically demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision, and arm-hand steadiness accurately.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include frequent use of hands and fingers, occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
