Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Learning Experience - World Headquarters. As a leading provider of early education and childcare, we are dedicated to creating a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our Little Learners and Teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
  • Maintain and facilitate repairs to structural components of the site, including doors & hardware, cabinetry, drywall, roofing, ceilings, curbing, and concrete
  • Conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs
  • Work with centers to maintain the overall appearance to meet Brand Standards
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Manage all service calls logged for assigned locations, including direction on service call dispatch, vendor follow-up, and approval of all completed work
  • Manage repair budget across all projects and impact to facilities P&L to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Observe and report additional maintenance needs to the appropriate department(s)
  • Provide direction and oversight to related vendor contracts (cleaning, landscaping, plumbing, etc.)
  • Manage and maintain maintenance vehicle and ensure that service is completed based on mileage and manufacturers recommendations
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and activities
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Certificate of training in a technical-oriented program or school
  • Prior experience operating power tools and small hand tools, trimmers and sprayers, pressure washer
  • Working knowledge of all building structures and systems
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and Dept of Transportation certified inclusive of medical card
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends based on repair needs and overnight travel may be required
  • Proven ability to leverage technology and software
