Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostician to join our team. As a Diagnostician, you will play a critical role in administering cognitive and achievement assessments to students, managing record keeping of student data, and performing other tasks related to the special education evaluation process.
Key Responsibilities- Administer standardized cognitive and academic tests to students, ensuring a suitable testing environment.
- Evaluate student responses to cognitive and achievement tests, accurately interpreting and recording results within established assessment parameters.
- Consult with school psychologists, case managers, and principals to discuss and report testing results or behavior concerns.
- Observe students in classroom settings to identify borderline or unusual behaviors.
- Complete special education evaluation-related tasks as assigned by the Director or Program Administrator.
- Previous education, training, work, or life experience demonstrating successful performance of various tasks.
- Preference given to individuals with experience administering standardized assessments.
- Valid Alaska Driver's License.
- Light Work physical requirements.
- One year of college.
- Experience working with and assessing children.
