Pharmacist (International Healthcare)

Acuity International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our global healthcare team. As a Pharmacist with Acuity International, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing medical services to employees and client personnel in the Marshall Islands.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Medical Services: Prescribe and dispense medications, verify instructions from physicians, and check for patient drug contraindications.
- Fill Prescriptions: Verify dosage regimen for accuracy and specified amount to be within the standard dosing range and frequency.
- Compound and Dispense Medications: Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide Medication Information and Education: Educate medical staff and patients on medication use and potential side effects.
- Participate in Medical Care Conferences: Participate in medical care conferences as directed by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Maintain Security and Accuracy: Maintain the security of controlled substances and accurate logs of dispensation, waste, etc.
- Develop Re-Supply System: Develop a re-supply system with the senior logistician to ensure critical use medications are readily available.
- Oversee Pharmacy Technicians: Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and perform administrative functions such as answering phones and stocking shelves.
- Maintain a Safe and Clean Working Environment: Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Record and Maintain Patient Information: Record and maintain patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
- Protect Patient Privacy: Protect patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, and proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
- Education: Graduate degree from an accredited Pharmacy School approved by state board of Pharmacy or accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
- License: Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Pharmacist License free from any pending adverse actions and the ability to be favorably credentialed by Acuity policy.
- Experience: Recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year, with experience in both Hospital and Ambulatory Pharmacy and expertise in both outpatient and inpatient drug therapies.
- Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- Skills: Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills, proficiency with computer and common office equipment, and MS Office products.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment, adapt to sudden changes, and flexibility in work requirements.
- Travel Requirements: Must have a current U.S. passport and a valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
- Language Skills: Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
- Security Clearance: Requires a favorably adjudicated CNACI investigation conducted by the Department of Defense.
- International Assignment Agreement: Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.
