POSITION SUMMARY
U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., leverages over a century of expertise as a leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:00am - 2:30pm, or until work is complete. Overtime may be required as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will:
  • Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance evaluations, delegation, and communication.
  • Offer measurable feedback, suggestions for performance enhancement, and recognition for achievements.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, and training as necessary.
  • Support safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure personnel are well-informed of policies and procedures, continually enforcing productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  • Oversee that drivers complete all required daily paperwork, including Driver hours log, Pre-trip inspection sheet, Driver's vehicle inspection report, and Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report.
  • Ensure all paperwork is submitted promptly to the corporate office.

Dispatch Responsibilities:
  • Assign products to be pulled by material handlers.
  • Route paperwork/products to the appropriate area.
  • Ensure drivers complete customer returns within 3 days of creation.
  • Collect COD logs daily to ensure cash and checks are being collected.
  • Communicate effectively with CSR's, Sales, Customers, Other locations, and Drivers.

Fleet Management:
  • Monitor state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Ensure all PM's are performed regularly.
  • Ensure all repairs are conducted to maintain compliance with federal regulations.
  • Assist drivers in making proper arrangements during breakdowns.
  • Coordinate Smith Training for drivers.

Equipment Operation:
Operate power equipment, including fork-lift. May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell. The employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds, including handling tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Protective Equipment Required:
Steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel/composite toe boots.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers.
  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning abilities.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion.
  • Able to learn to use a forklift.
  • May require a valid driver's license (depending on location) and conformance with company driver policy.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
