Job Summary

As a Vascular Access Registered Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care North America, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve the lives of patients with kidney disease. Key Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing vascular access procedures, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.

Conducts thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, identifies potential risks and complications, and takes appropriate action to mitigate them.

Administers medications and IV moderate sedation to patients as directed by physicians, ensuring compliance with FVC, company, federal, state, and local regulations.

Acts as a scrub technologist to assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a sterile technique and adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and attending meetings as required, to ensure continuous process improvement and adherence to FVC quality standards.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)

Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required.

4-6 years' related experience, preferably in Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience.

Proficient in the use of computers and related software, such as Microsoft Office, and experience with Medical database software.

Proficient in IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and experience with point-of-care laboratory testing.
