Job Summary

Columbine Manor Care Ctr is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for planning modified diets for patients, providing oversight for the food services department, and conducting nutritional assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation and Planning: Collaborate with patients and families to understand their nutritional needs and goals.
  • Menu Planning and Quality Control: Review menu plans to ensure they meet the nutritional needs of patients and maintain quality food service standards.
  • Modified Diet Planning: Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physicians.
  • Dietary Information Management: Accurately and timely input dietary information into patient charts and dietary databases.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in Interdisciplinary Patient Care meetings involving nutrition.
  • Food Service Support: Assist with other food service duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in dietetics or a related program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Experience: Prior experience in nutritional assessment and planning, with a minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare facility.
  • Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with standards of practice used in the assessment of geriatric patients, ability to make independent decisions, and knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care facilities.
