Job Summary:
Touro University New York is seeking an experienced medical educator to teach Anatomy and Neuroanatomy to first year medical students. The successful candidate will join a team of innovative educators who use a flipped classroom approach to deliver the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the assessment of student performance through various examination methods.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, responding to students' needs and concerns.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Advise and mentor students, providing guidance on academic and professional matters.
- Participate in medical student admission interviews, helping to identify talented candidates.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Anatomy or a related field is required; a PhD, DO, or MD degree is preferred.
- Exceptional teaching experience at the medical school level, with a proven track record of designing engaging anatomy and neuroanatomy instructional materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty and staff.
