Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at Panasonic Connect North America. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and service to our customers, ensuring that their equipment is installed, modified, and repaired to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and service to customers, including installations, modifications, and repairs of factory automation equipment and software.
- Maintain knowledge of the SMT process, including machine programming, configuration, and manufacturing processes.
- Assume responsibility for onsite Service project management, prioritizing equipment and technical issues for immediate corrective actions.
- Provide customers with timely and accurate technical information, conducting meetings to address open issues and providing basic software system and equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance training.
- Assist in covering Telephone Hot Line, conducting research to resolve customer issues, and creating Service Notifications and other documentation for communication of problem resolution.
- Prepare equipment documentation and reports, including installation reports, acceptance reports, service orders, installation documentation, warranty reports, Tech Tips, SAP reports, project reports, and corrective action recommendations.
- Participate in exhibitions and demonstrations of equipment, informing customers and responding to technical and specification questions and concerns.
- Technical Degree preferred.
- AS degree or higher, Technical or Vocational school, or relevant military training required.
- Experienced in software systems, electro-mechanical troubleshooting of capital equipment is required.
- Familiarity and capability in the field of SMT electronics assembly automation and process is preferred.
- Ability to take necessary action to ensure objectives are fully achieved, and commitments are met.
- Ability to work in potentially high-pressure circumstances, with strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively and professionally with all organizational levels both internal and external.
