Orthopedic Physician Assistant

The University of California, San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join its Orthopedic team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with world-class orthopedic specialists to provide exceptional patient care and improve the lives of those affected by musculoskeletal conditions.
The ideal candidate will have specific training and experience in Orthopedics, with a minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Physician Assistant. You will be required to work at various UCSF Medical Center locations and be flexible to orient and work at all locations.
Key qualifications include:
- Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA)
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for the position
- Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain
- Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice
- Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a Physician Assistant
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases, this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
