Job Overview

Olsson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering and Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level technical support and lead quality assurance/quality control activities on complex projects across various sectors.

This role is critical in conceptualizing and creating unique solutions that deliver elevated, purposeful, and high-quality engineering designs to meet the diverse needs of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level project design and review of project documents, ensuring design quality for complex projects.
  • Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
  • Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the delivery of designs that meet quality standards and project objectives.
  • Conduct research and advise on technical solutions in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
  • Direct and advise staff on design approaches to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
  • Promote efficiencies and high-quality output within the team, contributing to the development of standards and guidelines for engineering activities.
  • Supervise and review the technical assignments of less experienced engineers, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer with at least eight years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes.
