Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- 2 years of acute care experience, with a preference for cardiovascular or critical care experience.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification in critical care or cardiovascular nursing.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity.
This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and use of sight, hearing, and touch. May be exposed to infectious diseases and physical, mental, and emotional illness. Moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care.
