POSITION SUMMARY:

As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work under the guidance of a radiologist to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. Your responsibilities will include executing technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging.

Your role will involve conducting patient intake by gathering medical histories and addressing any questions patients may have regarding the imaging process. You will follow specific directives from healthcare providers on the areas to be imaged and ensure that patients are guided safely and comfortably through the imaging process.

In addition, you will proficiently operate imaging equipment, possess a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology, and demonstrate expertise in proper imaging techniques, particularly in special populations such as children, the elderly, and patients with significant health challenges. You may also collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging test results and determine if additional images are necessary.


Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
  • Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree.

License/Certifications:
  • Licensed with IEMA ARRT (R) registry eligible.
  • Must complete ARRT registry within six months of hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology and a background in customer service or patient experience settings.
