About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our Refrigeration Structures Team at GE Appliances, a Haier company. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of refrigeration products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovative Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and execution of structural subsystem components for Monogram refrigeration products. Your expertise will drive the creation of high-quality, reliable, and efficient refrigeration solutions.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Conduct thorough failure analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve technical issues. Document and track these resolutions using GEA's FRACAS system to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, design for manufacturing, product approval testing (including UL, toxicity, and RoHS compliance), and accelerated time-to-market.
  • Program & Design Reviews: Conduct and support comprehensive program and design reviews in alignment with the latest iNPI/C-change requirements, ensuring all projects meet rigorous standards and timelines.
  • Risk Management: Prioritize and escalate issues using risk assessment tools to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in design engineering, particularly within the refrigeration industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Expertise in quality craftsmanship and design for manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with product approval testing standards, including UL, toxicity, and RoHS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using risk assessment tools and methodologies.
