Job Summary

At GE Appliances, we're seeking a Senior Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations and drive excellence in quality, safety, and productivity. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily start-up of production, ensuring proper staffing, and managing absenteeism. You'll also lead daily production meetings, communicate key issues to leadership, and oversee the deployment of standardized work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a specific manufacturing area, including hourly Team Leaders and production team members, to ensure high performance and continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Provide support to the Operations Manager by leading operational and improvement activities, aligning area metrics with departmental goals, and organizing resources to deliver on these metrics.
  • Oversee the daily start-up of production, ensure line is properly staffed, and manage staffing throughout the day.
  • Review daily plan with Team Leaders, maintain technical knowledge of operations, and follow escalation process to address abnormalities and recommend corrective action.
  • Ensure Lean manufacturing practices and Escalation Process are followed, and promote and teach the Appliance Production System philosophy.
Requirements
  • 2 years leadership experience and technical acumen within a manufacturing operation.
  • Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, technical competency, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate team projects and drive results-driven methodology.
