Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Represent Spirit AeroSystems as a customer quality representative, coordinating non-conformances with the customer and providing visibility.
  • Collaborate with all levels of management on aircraft structure repairs identified by Engineering as significant.
  • Review all non-conformances that may be sensitive to the customer and end user.
  • Attend, interface, and present data during customer meetings.
  • Apply knowledge of quality policies and governmental regulations to develop and administer long-range customer inspection plans.
  • Plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing, such as hardware and tool acceptance, variability reduction, and assembly operations.
  • Perform design reviews to ensure quality is engineered into the product and tool.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering to analyze requirements of contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processes.
  • Compile, measure, and analyze process capability data, models to perform trend analyses and risk assessments.
  • Skill in process improvement methodologies to plan and coordinate process improvements.
  • Ensure sequenced inspection control points, create and maintain inspection accountability systems.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures, corrective action, procedural changes, process improvements, and present resultant findings.
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' related experience in Aerospace Manufacturing, OR Bachelors degree with 6-9 years, OR Masters degree with 4-7 years applicable experience.
  • Working with engineering drawings and customer specification.
  • MS Office (power point & excel) experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Quality inspection helpful but not required.
  • Leadership experience helpful.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift.
  • Experienced desired with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment.
  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements.
  • Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution.
  • Great attitude and willingness to learn.
