Job Summary

The Adjunct Instructor - Paramedic is responsible for educating and training students in Emergency Medical Technician courses. This role involves delivering lectures, labs, and clinical training, as well as assessing student performance and providing coaching. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EMS protocols and be able to prepare students for NREMT examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead instructor in delivering course material and maintaining a clean and organized learning environment
  • Take attendance, follow the syllabus, and maintain the EMS Program LMS platform
  • Complete student evaluations and ensure all class and lab space is properly maintained
  • Teach for the entire duration of the class period and effectively communicate with stakeholders
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree from an institution recognized by the United States Department of Education
  • Florida Level A EMS Instructor Certificate
  • Minimum of three years of experience with an ALS service
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor credentials, as well as NAEMT instructor certification in PHTLS and AMLS
