Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at UCHealth. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the organization's infection prevention and control program.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations accordingly

Independently perform Joint Commission/Regulatory tracers and use data to formulate action plans partnering with clinical teams

Provide preceptor/mentoring to novice infection preventionists or aspiring IPs and serve as SME for HAI metrics and cluster/outbreak investigations

Investigate, suggest, and advocate for ways to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

Requirements:

Certified Infection Control

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Public Health with knowledge of microbiology, infectious diseases, and medical terminology, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience

1 year of infection prevention experience, preferably as a hospital infection preventionist
