Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Highway Design Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our dynamic Highway Team within the Transportation Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing highways, roads, and transportation infrastructure, and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will challenge and engage you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design highways, roads, and transportation infrastructure, including alignments, drainage systems, and other related duties.
  • Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.
  • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Proactively assist Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Group Managers.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
  • 5-10 years minimum of transportation experience, highway engineering experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, STAAD, Bridge Design Software preferred.
