Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Senior Analyst for National Accounts to manage daily accounting functions, enhance sales operations, and perform financial reporting and analysis for our national accounts. Key responsibilities include overseeing collections, ensuring the accuracy of strategically focused financial reports, and providing insights to improve operational efficiency and drive business growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Execute daily general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for designated functional areas.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for assigned functional areas.
  • Generate and present accurate and timely financial reports, along with variance analysis.
  • Conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, accrual calculations, and other related accounting tasks.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile intercompany balances for national accounts.
  • Manage collections for national accounts, addressing any payment issues that arise.
  • Assist with external audits and the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline operations and enhance customer experiences.
  • Serve as the primary contact for sales teams regarding technical challenges related to national accounts.
  • Work with marketing and operations teams to ensure that adequate support materials are available for national accounts.
  • Analyze data from both internal and external sources to drive operational improvements.
  • Provide recommendations for strategic decision-making across national accounts.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts at the SKU level for national accounts.
  • Establish reporting systems to monitor KPIs across national accounts.
  • Track progress on assigned KPIs for national accounts.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to remain informed about industry trends.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by refining processes and suggesting improvements.
  • Update results for Field Sales Incentive contests and oversee related compensation calculations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for Brand Teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the business.

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, financial analysis, and sales with a focus on analytics and forecasting.
  • Expertise in analytics tools and methodologies across various channels.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, sales forecasting, and operations across multiple channels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Normal office hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Office setting working with standard equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • Occasional filing requiring minor physical efforts.
