Key Responsibilities- Perform physical examinations and conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their health needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and adherence to established quality indicators.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
- Conduct age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination, consistent with department protocol.
- Consult with supervising physicians or other clinicians as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in the review of medical records to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Establish effective working relationships with members of the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and apply safety principles to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Perform efficiently in emergency situations, remaining calm and documenting events as necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management, in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
- Demonstrate a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track, and convey information.
- Must hold an active, unrestrictive NJ APN license, CDS registration, and DEA.
- WHNP Board Certification from NCC (preferred) or FNP Board Certification from ANCC.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an APP in Women's Health highly preferred; experience with IUDs, Nexplanon, Endometrial Biopsies, and Pessaries.
- Colposcopy certification highly preferred.
- Comfortability with being scheduled as a solo practitioner in the office.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Eligible to participate in state programs, including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
