About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medical Technician to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a Nuclear Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including the administration of radionuclides for the in vitro/in vivo diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans.
  • Resolve customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner, treating all customers with courtesy and communicating issues to supervisors.
  • Proficiently perform technical imaging procedures on all patient age groups and ability to teach the same.
  • Provide imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of sex, age, or race, and provide patients with efficient and courteous care.
  • Proficient on the proper use and operation of specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families, and imaging services administration.
  • Work with department staff to facilitate patient care across modalities.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments (e.g., OR, ED) to facilitate patient care.
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Completion of AMA-approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Registry by AART or NMTCB.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
