Animal MRI Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a proficient and committed professional to become part of our team as an MRI Imaging Facility Coordinator at the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Translational Research in Imaging (CTRIM) Core. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the functionality of animal MRI scanners and imaging systems within our advanced CTRIM core. Your responsibilities will include ensuring technical excellence, swiftly resolving equipment issues, and collaborating with users and suppliers to maintain peak performance.

Primary Duties:

  • Manage animal MRI scanners and imaging systems
  • Ensure technical excellence and promptly resolve equipment issues
  • Collaborate with users to guarantee high-quality data collection and develop tailored imaging protocols
  • Provide training for new users as necessary

Research Participation:

In addition to facility management, you will have the chance to engage in research initiatives, conduct studies, work alongside scientists, and disseminate findings through presentations and publications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing MRI facilities
  • Technical expertise in animal MRI scanners and imaging systems
  • Excellent communication skills for user interaction and research collaboration
  • Proven history of conducting and sharing research findings
